Workshop on Information Sharing & Safeguarding Standards (WIS3)

From the IJIS website: The IJIS Institute and the Standards Coordinating Council (SCC), Sub-Committee of the Information Sharing and Access Interagency Policy Committee (ISA IPC), will conduct a Workshop on Information Sharing and Safeguarding Standards (WIS3). The 2013 Industry Briefing will follow WIS3 at the same location on January 24-25, 2013.

This interactive workshop is intended to bring together government and industry leaders to chart the future for architecture and standards frameworks for the national information sharing environment. Expert panel presentations will be followed by discussion sessions on each of these topics:

  • Privacy/Technology Framework,
  • Information Sharing and Interoperability Standards,
  • Shared Frameworks and Services,
  • Audit and Security.

Representatives from the federal, state and local government, as well as the technology industry, have been invited to participate. Also invited are members of standards organizations such as Object Management Group (OMG), Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS), Open Geospatial Standards Group (OGC), Global Justice Advisory Committee, and others from the private sector.
