Media Advisory: Napolitano to Speak at Fusion Center Conference

DENVER -- Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will be the keynote speaker at the fifth annual National Fusion Center Conference in Denver March 15-17.

Some 1,000 federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners involved in state and major urban area fusion centers across the country are expected to attend the conference. The meeting is an important forum to exchange best practices, build stronger partnerships, and enhance fusion centers’ critical operational capabilities to become centers of analytic excellence.

This year’s conference is cosponsored by the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Justice and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Five morning breakout sessions, Secretary Napolitano’s keynote address, and the 2011 fusion center awards on Tuesday, March 15, will be open to media coverage.
